Sharing Recipes

I just got an e-mail from one of our past guests asking for our recipe for Rosemary Lemonade and thought I'd better share it with the rest of you.

Inn of Twin Gables

Rosemary Lemonade & Limeade

  • 4 – 5 large sprigs of fresh rosemary, rinsed (5 – 6 inches long)
  • 1 cup freshly squeezed lemon or lime juice
  • 7 cups water
  • 1 - 1/12 cups sugar (depending on how sweet you like it)

  1. Bring 4 cups of water to a boil, add rosemary, remove from heat and steep for 20 minutes uncovered.
  2. Strain warm liquid into a pitcher and add sugar – stir to dissolve,
  3. Add remaining water, lemon (lime) juice and ice to equal 2 quarts.
  4. In summer, chill and serve with a sprig of rosemary over ice; or reheat and serve hot in winter. Enjoy!
